About Lelvo
Lelvo backs up every photo and video from your iPhone or Mac, in original quality, to a private channel in your own Telegram account. It shows what's on your device and what's in your Telegram library in one fast timeline.
Why it exists
It's about ownership, not free storage. Your photos live in a channel you own, in an account you already have, and you can open them without Lelvo. If Lelvo stopped tomorrow, your photos would still be yours.
What it does
- Original quality: the same files you took, with their dates, places, albums, favourites and Live Photos.
- One timeline: phone and cloud items together, on iPhone and Mac, with a grid and viewer like Photos.
- Optional end-to-end encryption: Lelvo encrypts each file on your device, so Telegram holds files it can't open.
- Easy restore: sign in on a new phone, pick your library, and everything is there.
- Free up space: remove photos from your phone only when you choose, and only after Lelvo checks they're safely backed up.
How it works
Lelvo has no servers and no accounts of its own. It signs in to your Telegram account on your device and sends your photos straight to your private channel. There are no analytics and no ads. The privacy policy has the details.
Lelvo uses the Telegram API and isn't made or endorsed by Telegram.
Who makes it
Lelvo is made by Shahil, its founder. It's free and open source under the GPL-3.0, and every line is on GitHub.
